Cherokee GOP Meeting Thursday
The Cherokee County Republican Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Legacy of Harvey Collins Restaurant, 204 W. Sixth Street in Rusk. The public is invited. For more information, call 903-586-2669.

National County Government Week
Smith County will celebrate National County Government Week, April 6 through 12. Activities will include a children's drawing contest and inviting school-age children to attend a Commissioners Court meeting. Other activities will focus on county employees, and will include a health fair, a luncheon and an Employee of the Year award.

"Smith County is proud of the variety of services it provides to the community," County Judge Joel Baker says. "NCGW is a great opportunity for the public to take a closer look at what we do, how we do it, and the people behind the services we provide."

For more information, call 903-590-4607.

Runoff Elections
Runoff elections for the March 4 party primaries will take place on April 8. Early voting lasts from Monday through Friday.
