Lindale To Meet Brenham In Doubleheader
The Lindale soccer program will converge on the same site for the second time this week Friday.

The Eagles (19-4-1) and Lady Eagles (17-4-2) are scheduled to play Brenham in a 4A regional quarterfinal at Waco Midway. The boys will be the first to vie for a berth in the regional semifinals (6 p.m.), while the girls will kick things off at 8 p.m.

Both Lindale teams opened the playoffs with shutout victories against Golden Triangle schools Tuesday: the Eagles defeated Nederland, 3-0; the Lady Eagles won against Port Neches-Groves, 2-0.

Pacing the Eagles were Jordan Norris and Jordan Specht: Norris scored a pair of goals, including a header for a 1-0 lead; Specht recorded the shutout at goalkeeper.

Leading the Lady Eagles was Maddie Fraser, who scored both of the game's goals from about 35 yards out.
