'Garden Wedding' Wins Rose City Award
Staff Photo By Tom Turner
Beverly Lusk, president of the Quilters Guild (left) and Joyce Turner, Community editor of the Tyler Morning Telegraph, stand in front of “Garden Wedding” by Judy Green Thursday afternoon at Harvey Convention Center. Mrs. Turner selected the quilt as her favorite for the Rose City Award. The quilt is one of approximately 250 quilts which will be featured in the Quilters Guild of East Texas’ annual Azalea Quilt Show, “Hats Off To Quilting,” which opens Friday and continues through Saturday at the convention center. Show hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Admission is $6 for adults and $5 for seniors and children, ages 6-12.
