Jackson Huse
A memorial service for Jackson Huse, a 6-year-old boy who citizens of Arp had rallied around in his struggle with brain cancer, is set for 3:10 p.m. Friday at Marvin United Methodist Church in Tyler.

The start of the funeral was selected to coincide with the dismissal bell at Arp schools, said Patricia Parnell, friend of the family.
"Hearts all over Arp are full of grief and heartache over the loss of this child," she said.
Donations to the Jackson Huse Foundation can be made at Arp State Bank to help other families in similar circumstances.
Huse is survived by, among others, his parents, Doug and Johna Huse; sister, Meredith; and brothers, Dillon and Mason, all of Arp.
A visitation/reception will follow the service at Pirtle Hall at Marvin United Methodist Church. Private burial services will be held at Mason Cemetery in Arp.
For the past two years, residents of Arp had supported the family with cards of encouragement and community events to help the Huses with finances while the child received treatment in Houston.
