Ellis Captures Williams Memorial Bowling Event
Walter Ellis fired a 665 series to take top honors in the men's division Sunday in the First Dick Williams Memorial Benefit Bowling Tournament at Green Acres Bowl.
Ellis had games of 254, 211 and 200. His 254 was the high game of the tourney.
Pat Kirkpatrick won the women's division with a high series of 627. Jennifer Mayo posted the high game of 222.
In the children's division, Michael Gates won with a series of 588 and a high game of 186.
More than $1,200 was raised for Children Diabetes Foundation at Mother Francis Hospital.
Mr. Williams was general manger of Green Acres Bowl for 34 years and passed away Dec. 22, 2007. He was a diabetic and this was his favorite charity.
Tournament directors were Jo Hobbs and Kevin Eschberger.
