Ebony Fashion Fair Show To Take 'Glam Odyssey'
The 50th annual Ebony Fashion Fair Show "Glam Odyssey," a traveling fashion production hosted by the East Texas Chapter of Links Inc., is scheduled for 8 p.m. Saturday at Caldwell Auditorium, Tyler.
Tickets to the show are $25 and may be purchased from any Links member in Tyler, Longview or Marshall.
The price of the ticket entitles the ticketholder to a one-year subscription to Ebony or six months to Jet. Tickets may be purchased from East Texas Chapter of Links members, or Art From The Soul in the West Erwin Shopping Center.
"In spite of strife around the globe, the fashion world is projecting an upbeat attitude. Renowned designers around the world have declared liveliness and vibrancy to be the feel and ambience for the 2007-2008 fashion season," Links spokesperson Darlene Lewis said.
"Consequently, what we wear from this point forward should lift the spirit and enliven your personal style. It is a time to reflect your positive outlook on life with your wardrobe and your attitude," she said.
"Many of the glamorous looks of seasons past were showcased on the runways of the world in remixed versions to create new, trendy glam for today," Ms. Lewis said.
Ebony Fashion Fair Show is the Links' main fundraiser benefiting its four facets - services to youth, international trends and services, national trends and services and the arts.
