One small-caliber gun and a knife were used in the gruesome slaying of an Alba woman and her two sons that was allegedly carried out by her daughter, her boyfriend and two friends Saturday morning, authorities announced Sunday night.
All four suspects – the 16-year-old family member, her 19-year-old boyfriend Charlie James Wilkinson, 20-year-old Charles Allen Waid and 18-year-old Bobbi Gale Johnson – were at the Caffey house when the murders took place, Rains County Sheriff David Traylor said.

Mom, 37-year-old Penny Caffey, and her sons, 13-year-old Mathew Caffey and 8-year-old Tyler Caffey, were killed in their bedrooms.
"Basically, they were in the house asleep, the suspects came into the house and (Terry Caffey) was able to identify one of the individuals at that time which led to the other individuals being taken into custody."
Terry Caffey was taken out of ICU on Sunday afternoon but awaits further surgeries to remove remaining bullets from his shoulders and back. Caffey was in surgery on Sunday morning to remove a bullet from his head, family friend Diane Dunlap said.
Terry Caffey crawled some 300 yards to his neighbor's home where a 911 call was made. The four suspects lit the Caffey home on fire – with Penny, Mathew and Tyler inside – and it was fully engulfed when fire fighters arrived, the sheriff said.
The 16-year-old daughter was found hiding in a mobile home that morning when she and another suspect were taken into custody.
All four suspects were each charged with three counts of capital murder during an arraignment on Sunday morning. The 16-year-old is being held at Hunt County's juvenile detention center, and the three others are incarcerated at the Rains County jail. Each is being held on a $500,000 bond.
