No Fatalities in Alto Crash
Details of a Monday morning accident in Alto were not immediately available today, but Alto Police Chief Charles Barron confirmed there were no fatalities, and all injured people have either been released from area hospitals or their conditions have been upgraded.
The investigation is ongoing.
Barron confirmed a woman was transporting five children to school in Rusk when she struck the back trailer of a log truck. At least two children were airlifted to a Shreveport hospital.
Barron said it is still unclear if restraints were used on any of them.
Those transported to hospitals all have been released except for one child who, by Tuesday, was upgraded from the Intensive Care Unit to a private room, Barron said.
