DEVELOPMENTAL
Freestone County

  • The J.M. Pollard Gas Unit Well No. 23, the Hugh D. Reed No. 1 Gas Unit Well No. 6 and the Schill, Mary Jane Well No. 4 will be drilled by XTO Energy. The No. 23 well is 4.1 miles northwest of Dew in the Freestone (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field. It will lie in the Tacker, J B Survey, A-620 and will hit 13,600 feet. The No. 6 well is 2.7 miles northwest of Fairfield in the Teague (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field. It will lie in the Shepherd, H Survey, A-34 and will hit 12,900 feet. The No. 4 well is three miles northwest of Donie in the Freestone (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field. This well will lie in the Sanders, L E Survey, A-588 and will hit 13,700 feet.

  • Valence Operating Co. will prepare to drill the Blount "A" Well No. 3 in the Nan-Su-Gail (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field. The well will be drilled 2.8 miles north of Fairfield. It will bottom at 13,000 feet in the Gainer, R Survey, A-12. It may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • Gregg County

    The Griffin Ranch G.U. 4 Well No. 6 will be drilled by Geo-Vest of Texas Inc. in the Danville (Travis Peak) Field. The well is 5.5 miles northeast of Kilgore in the Bradley, E Survey, A-17 and will hit 8,000 feet. It may also be drilled in the Danville (Gloyd) Field or a wildcat field.

    Harrison County

  • Forest Oil Corp. will drill the Beatrice Key Gas Unit Well No. 3 and the Beatrice Key Gas Unit Well No. 5 to 11,500 feet in the Woodlawn (Cotton Valley) Field. The No. 3 will be 4.64 miles northwest of Karnack in the Craine, J B Survey, A-144. The No. 5 will be 4.17 miles northwest of Karnack in the Petty, G W Survey, A-582. The wells may also be drilled in the Woodlawn (Travis Peak) Field, the Woodlawn (Travis Peak -A-) Field or the Woodlawn (Pettit-Page) Field.

  • The Bath "B" Gas Unit Well No. 9 will be drilled by BP America Production Co. in the Blocker (Cotton Valley) Field. The well will hit 12,500 feet in the Mitchum, J Survey, A-469. It may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • Penn Virginia Oil & Gas, L.P. will drill the Fogle Gas Unit Well No. 5H in a wildcat field. The well is 12.9 miles southeast of Marshall in the Wray, J S Survey, A-759. It may also be drilled in the Carthage, North (Bossier Shale) Field.

  • In a lease 6.2 miles southwest of Waskom in a wildcat field, the Williams, Ireland Gas Unit Well No. 7 will be drilled by Devon Energy Production Co. LP. It will bottom at 13,000 feet in the Jackson, C W Survey, A-365.

  • A wildcat field will see the Lockhart Well No. 2 prepared for drilling by NEG Operating. This well is three miles northeast of Hallsville in the Wm. B. Green Survey, A-820. It may also be drilled in the Hallsville, Northeast (Cotton Valley) Field.

  • M.E. Operating & Services Inc. will drill the Downer Well No. 2 in a wildcat field. The well will bottom at 10,500 feet. It is 2.1 miles southeast of Leigh and will lie in the Fuller, F Survey, A-8. It may also be drilled in the Longwood (Cotton Valley) Field, the Waskom (Cotton Valley) Field or the Lotta (Cotton Valley) Field.

  • Henderson County
  • In a lease 3.2 miles northeast of Crossroads in the Turlington Field, the McDonald Well No. 1 will be drilled by Rising Star Petroleum LLC. This well will bottom at 10,000 feet in the Riley, C Survey, A-688. It may also be drilled in the Tri-Cities, North (Rodessa) Field or the Tri-Cities (Pettit) Field.

  • Maximus Operating Ltd. will prepare to drill the Arnold Well No. 2 in a wildcat field, one mile west of Seven Points in the Muckleroy, D Survey, A-503. It will hit 5,300 feet and may also be drilled in the Rowe & Baker Field or the Rowe & Baker (Paluxy) Field.

  • The Henderson Smackover Unit Well No. 3 will be drilled by O'Ryan Oil and Gas in the Chicken Soup (Smackover) Field. The well is 4.5 miles southeast of Tool in the Hallmark, J Survey A-292 and will hit 11,900 feet.

  • Houston County

    In a lease 3.7 miles northeast of Augusta in a wildcat field, the Whaley Gas Unit Well No. 2 will hit 12,000 feet by Chesapeake Operating. The well will lie in the Lewis, W Survey, A-1309 and may also be drilled in the Decker Switch (Pettit) Field or the Decker Switch, Southeast (James Lime) Field.

    Leon County

  • The Hannah-Watson GU 1 Well No. 2 will be drilled by Ensight III Energy Management LLC in a wildcat field. The well is 1.4 miles northeast of Jewett in the Frisman, D M Survey, A-267, and will hit 12,500 feet. It may also be drilled in the Jewett (Travis Peak) Field.

  • XTO Energy Inc. will drill the Gail King Well No. 32H in the Bear Grass (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field to 17,500 feet. The well is 7.3 miles northwest of Jewett in the Rejon, M C Survey, A-19 and may also be drilled in the Bear Grass (Pettit) Field or the Bear Grass (Travis Peak) Field.

  • Limestone County

    The Freestone (Travis Peak) Field will see the Doss Gas Unit Well No. 22 drilled by O'Benco Inc. The well is 14.1 miles northwest of Jewett in the Chaver, J L Survey, A-4 and will hit 9,300 feet. It may also be drilled in the Navasota (Pettit) Field or a wildcat field.

    Nacogdoches County

  • In a lease 6.1 miles northwest of Mayo in the Naconiche Creek (Rodessa-Travis Peak Consolidated) Field, the Temple-Inland Gas Unit Well No. 9 will be drilled by Chesapeake Operating Inc. to 12,000 feet in the Vannoy, A Survey, A-582. It may also be drilled in the Naconiche Creek (Cotton Valley) Field or a wildcat field.

  • The Tubbe Well No. 1 is being prepared for drilling by Goodrich Petroleum Co. 8.9 miles southeast of Nacogdoches in a wildcat field. Total depth will be 12,500 feet in the Jenkins, JW Survey, A-322. It may also be drilled in the Gates (Travis Peak) Field.

  • Samson Lone Star will drill the Lola D GU 1 Well No. 3 in the Douglass, West (Travis Peak) Field. It will hit 12,000 feet in the Russell, E Survey, A-460. Location is 11.5 miles northwest of Nacogdoches. It may also be drilled in a wildcat field, the Nacogdoches, East (James Lime) Field, the Miyagi (Pettit) Field or the Little Ears (Pettit Lime) Field.

  • In a lease six miles southwest of Nacogdoches, in a wildcat field, the Henderson Well No. 1H will be drilled by Goodrich Petroleum Co. It will hit 9,500 feet in the Gallatin, A Survey, A-728 and may also be drilled in the Loco Bayou (James Lime) Field.

  • Panola County

  • XTO Energy will drill the Roquemore Gas Unit "D" Well No. 26 in the Bethany (Transition) Field. The well is three miles northeast of DeBerry in the Jordan, BC Survey, A-348. It will bottom at 12,000 feet and may also be drilled in the Bethany (Werner) Field, the Bethany, East (Cotton Valley) Field, the Bethany (Travis Peak 6200) Field or the Bethany (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field.

  • Chevron U.S.A. will drill five new wells. The O.W. Alexander Well No. 5 is 11.6 miles northeast of Carthage, in the Carthage (Travis Peak) Field. This well will hit 10,500 feet in the Vaughn, W Survey, A-695 and may also be drilled in a wildcat field. The O.W. Alexander Well No. 6 will be located 11.8 miles northeast of Carthage in a wildcat field. It will hit 10,500 feet in the Vaughn, W Survey, A-695 and may also be drilled in the Carthage (Travis Peak) Field. The Werner-Pope Unit Well No. 10 is 14.1 miles southeast of Carthage in the Carthage (Travis Peak) Field. It will bottom at 10,500 feet in the Pope, J Survey, A-539 and may also be drilled in a wildcat field. The Werner Pope Unit Well No. 9 is 14.2 miles southeast of Carthage in the Carthage (Travis Peak) Field. This well will hit 10,500 feet in the Pope, J Survey, A-539 and may also be drilled in a wildcat field. The Furrh-McMillan Unit Well No. 6 is 13.8 miles southeast of Carthage in a Wildcat Field. It will bottom at 10,500 feet in the Gibbs, V Survey, A-231 and may also be drilled in the Carthage (Travis Peak) Field.

  • In a lease three miles west of Clayton in a wildcat field, the Box Gas Unit Well No. 6 will hit 10,100 feet by Phillips, Jack L. Co. This well is in the Coughran, J Survey, A-121. The well may also be drilled in the Carthage, South (Travis Peak) Field, the Carthage, Southwest (Travis Peak) Field, the Carthage, South (Cotton Valley) Field or the Carthage, Southwest (Pettit) Field.

  • The Dodd, Ruby Unit Well No. 11 will be drilled six miles east of Beckville in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field. This well will hit 9,925 feet in the A Duboise, Sr. Survey, A-159 drilled by Lacy Operations, Ltd.

  • Devon Energy Production will drill the Haygood, Lois Well No. 7 H, the Mason Well No. 23 and the Dudley Williams Heirs Well No.1 H in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field. The No. 7 H well will hit 15,000 feet in the Davis, J Survey, A-162 and is 6.7 miles southwest of Carthage. The No. 23 well will hit 12,500 feet in the Hanks, I Survey, A-271 and is 5.6 miles southwest of Carthage. The No. 1 H is 10.4 miles southwest of Carthage and will hit 15,000 feet and will lie in the Dunn, H C Survey, A-156. This well may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • A wildcat field will see the Sempra Energy Unit Well No. 2 drilled to 9,850 feet. The well is three miles north of Joaquin and will be drilled by Will-Drill Production Co. Inc. It will lie in the Thompson, D Survey, A-685 and may also be drilled in the Carthage (Travis Peak) Field or the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field.

  • In a lease 13.1 miles east of Carthage, in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field, the Richardson A Well No. 2H will be drilled by St. Mary Land & Exploration Co. to 11,000 feet in the English, W Survey, A-194. It may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • Goodrich Petroleum Co. will drill the Shaw, R. M. Well No. 3 and the Sealey, Billy Jack Well No.1 in the Beckville (Cotton Valley) Field. The No. 3 well will hit 11,000 feet in the Johnson, F W Survey A-351 and is 10.5 miles west of Tatum. The No. 1 well will hit 11,000 feet in the Biggs, H Survey, A-65 and is 13.2 miles west of Tatum. This well may also be drilled in the Beckville (Travis Peak) Field.

  • The Sand Hill Panola SWD Well No. 1 will be drilled by Sand Hill Foundation, LLC in the Carthage (Travis Peak) Field. It will hit 6,000 feet in the Wilson, P R Survey, A-750.

  • A wildcat field will see the Pitts Well No. 3 drilled by Preston Exploration LLC. This well is 7.2 miles northeast of Gary in the Kelly, T Survey, A-372. It will hit 10,000 feet and may also be drilled in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field or the Carthage (Travis Peak) Field.

  • Robertson County

  • The BR Baylor College of Medicine Well No. 1 will be drilled 4.6 miles southeast of Franklin in the Savell (Bossier Sand) Field. Burlington Resources O&G Company LP will drill the well to 16,600 feet in the Pereira, P/Grande, J&M Survey, A-32.

  • The Bald Prairie (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field will see the Steele Gas Unit No. 2 Well No. 1 drilled to 15,750 feet, and the Bilsing Gas Unit No. 3 Well No. 1 drilled to 13,200 feet by XTO Energy. The Steele Gas Unit No. 2 Well No. 1 is 3.1 miles northeast of Franklin in the Maullausler, F Survey, A-262. The Bilsing Gas Unit No. 3 Well No.1 is 6.7 miles northwest of Franklin in the Mc Millan, A Survey, A-224.

  • Burlington Resources O&G Co. will drill the BR John and Virginia Turner Well No. 1 in the Savell (Bossier Sand) Field. It is 2.5 miles northwest of Franklin in the Erwin, J Survey, A-139 with 16,600-feet.

  • The McLean B Well No. 1 is 11.8 miles northeast of Franklin in the John Amoruso (Bossier) Field. It will hit 19,000 feet in the Pereira, P/Grande, J & M Survey, A-32 by EnCana Oil & Gas (USA) Inc.

  • Rusk County

  • In a lease 10.1 miles southeast of Henderson, in a wildcat field, the Marks Poovey Gas Unit Well No.3 will be drilled by Enervest Operating, LLC. It will bottom at 12,000 feet in the Ferguson, J Survey, A-301. It may also be drilled in the Minden (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field, the Minden (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field or the Brachfield, Southeast (Cotton Valley) Field.

  • The Henderson, East (Cotton Valley) Field will see the Yandle Gas Unit No. 2 Well No. 5 drilled by XTO Energy Inc. It will bottom at 11,100 feet in the Green B. Dunkley Survey A-241.

  • SDG Operating Co. Inc. will prepare to drill the Ivy Wharton Well No. 2 10 miles southwest of Henderson in a wildcat field. Total depth will be 8,800 feet. It will lie in the Roth, J Survey, A-36 and may also be drilled in the Scoober Creek (Travis Peak) Field.

  • The Reeves-Hibbard Well No.1 is 4.1 miles northwest of Garrison in the Appleby, North (Travis Peak) Field. It will bottom at 10,200 feet in the Ghalsen, JJ Survey, A-314. This well may also be drilled in the Appleby, North (Pettit) Field.

  • There will be three additional wells drilled by Goodrich Petroleum Co. The J. Pricer GU Well No. 5 will be drilled 10.4 miles west of Tatum in the Beckville (Cotton Valley) Field. It will bottom at 11,000 feet in the Brown, R Survey, A-155 and may also be drilled in the Beckville (Travis Peak) Field. The Pricer, J Gas Unit Well No. 1 will be drilled 10.3 miles east of Henderson in a wildcat field. It will hit at 10,800 feet in the Brown Survey, A-155 and may also be drilled in the Beckville (Cotton Valley) Field, the Beckville (Travis Peak) Field or the Church Hill (Cotton Valley) Field. The Siler Heirs GU Well No. 6 will be drilled 3.8 miles southeast of Henderson in the Henderson, East (Cotton Valley) Field. It will hit at 11,000 feet in the Smith, HM Survey, A-702 and may also be drilled in the Minden (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field.

  • The Lee, W.C. Well No. 3 will be drilled to 9,000 feet by Encore Operating, LP in the Danville (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field. This well is 3.7 miles southeast of Kilgore in the George, SC Survey, A-311.

  • In a lease 2.5 miles southwest of Henderson in a wildcat field, the Gilson Gas Unit Well No. 5 will be drilled by NFR Energy LLC. It will hit 11,000 feet in the Smith, J Survey, A-709. It may also be drilled in the Henderson, East (Cotton Valley) Field.

  • Energen Resources Corp. is preparing to drill the Minor, A Gas Unit Well No. 16 to 11,000 feet in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field. The well is 4.8 miles northwest of Tatum in the Walling, J Survey, A-42. It may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • The Henderson, East (Cotton Valley) Field will see the Alexander Heirs Gas Unit Well No. 14 drilled by Forest Oil Corp. It will hit at 11,500 feet in the Pena, M V Survey, A-27. Location will be 5.7 miles southwest of Henderson.

  • The Oak Hill G.U. 1 Well No. 3 will be drilled 2.7 miles north of Tatum in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field. The well will drilled by Chinn Exploration Co. in the Cherry, F G Survey, A-1002 and will hit 11,250 feet.

  • National Onshore LP will drill the Powell Gas Unit No.1 Well No. 14 to 12,000 feet in the Minden (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field. The well will lie in the JNO F. Jones Survey, A-461 5.2 miles southeast of Henderson. It may also be drilled in a wildcat field or the Minden (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field.

  • Shelby County

  • The Eddins Unit Well No. 2 will be drilled 8.3 miles southwest of Center in the Stockman (Cotton Valley) Field. It will hit 15,000 feet in the Buckley, J Survey, A-876 and may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • The Joaquin (Travis Peak) Field will see the W M Taylor Well No. 6 drilled by Classic Operating Co. LLC, 1.5 miles south of Joaquin in the Pennington, S Survey, A-555. It will hit 10,000 feet.

  • In a lease 3.5 miles southeast of Neuville, in the Huxley (6100) Field, the Dymke G.U. Well No. 1H will be drilled to 7,600 feet by Hunt Petroleum Corp. The well will lie in the Whitton, E H Survey, A-816.

  • St. Mary Land & Exploration Co. will drill the Powell Well No. 1H in the Huxley (6100) Field. It will be drilled to 7,000 feet in the English, J Survey, A-186.


  • COMPLETIONS
    Anderson County

    The John Royall -C- Well No. 11 has been completed by Bay-Tech Operating Co. Inc., five miles southwest of Neches in the Jarvis Dome Field. It bottoms at 5,000 feet and flowed with 120 barrels of crude, no choke size recorded. Production is in the Woodbine -C- formation.

    Freestone County

  • When gauged on a 16/64-inch choke, the Hegward "A" Well No. 2 potentialed 7.173 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Location is 4.3 miles northeast of Oakwood in the Dowdy Ranch Field. Anadarko Petroleum Corp. completed the well to 15,875 feet. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • The Dew Field saw the A.O. Evans GU Well No. 24 completed by Devon Energy Production Co. LP. Location is 2.8 miles southwest of Dew, with total depth 12,550 feet. On a 27/64-inch choke it potentialed 1.987 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley Consolidated formation.

  • Gregg County

    The Griffin Ranch G.U. 7 Well No. 9 and the Griffin Ranch O.U. 6 Well No. 9 were completed by Geo-Vest of Texas Inc. in the Danville Field. The Griffin Ranch G.U. 7 Well No. 9 is located 3.9 miles east southeast of Kilgore and bottoms at 7,374 feet. It flowed with 29 barrels of crude per day when gauged on a 48/64-inch choke. Production is in the Pettit -A- Oil formation. The Griffin Ranch O.U. 6 Well No. 9 is located 4.1 miles northeast of Kilgore and bottoms at 7,915 feet. This well flowed with 63.5 barrels of crude per day on a 42/64-inch choke. Production is in the Travis Peak Consolidated formation.

    Harrison County

  • The Oak Hill Field saw the Timberlake -A- Well No. 5 completed to 10,800 feet. It is located 3.6 miles southwest of Longview, completed by Buffco Production Inc. It potentialed 970,000 cubic feet of gas per day on a 16/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • NFR Energy LLC completed the Gibson "A" Well No. 2 in the Oak Hill Field. This well is located 5.37 miles southeast of Longview. Total depth 10,918 feet. On a 16/64-inch choke it potentialed 470,000 cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • The Charlie Bell Gas Unit Well No. 7 was completed by Forest Oil Corp. in the Hardwood Field. It is located 5.95 miles southeast of Marshall. Total depth 10,082 feet. On an adjustable choke it potentialed 285,000 cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • Leon County

    When gauged on a 22/64-inch choke, the Gastar Lone Oak Ranch Well No. 3H potentialed 7.872 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. This well is located three miles southeast of Ridge in the Hilltop Resort. Total depth 16,102 feet by Gastar Exploration Texas LP. Production is in the Knowles formation.

    Robertson County

    Burlington Resources O&G Co. completed the Williams Gas Unit Well No. 2, the T Bar X Rabe Gas Unit Well No. 3 and the BR/Dooley Gas Unit Well No. 1 in the Savell Field. The No. 2 is located 5.6 miles southwest of Franklin. Total depth 14,470 feet. It potentialed 6.178 million cubic feet of gas per day on an 11/64-inch choke. The No. 3 is located 6.2 miles southeast of Franklin and hit 16,190 feet. It potentialed 6.280 million cubic feet of gas per day on an 11/64-inch choke. The No.1 is located 4.5 miles southeast of Franklin. Total depth 15,391 feet. It potentialed 2.159 million cubic feet of gas per day on an 8/64-inch choke. Production is in the Bossier Sand formation.

    Rusk County

  • The Kangerga-Prior Well No. 2 was completed 11 miles west of Henderson in the Good Springs, West Field by Rebel Production Co. Total depth 3,799 feet. It flowed with 110 barrels of crude per day, no choke size. Production is in the Woodbine formation.

  • In a lease 3.8 miles northwest of Minden in the Minden Field, the Morris Gas Unit Well No. 2 was completed by Enduring Resources LLC. It bottoms at 10,975 feet and potentialed 465,000 cubic feet of gas per day on an adjustable choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley Consolidated formation.

  • EnerVest Operating LLC completed the Kangerga Gas Unit Well No. 2 in the Brachfield, Southeast Field. This well is located 10.8 miles southeast of Henderson and bottoms at 10,865 feet. When gauged on a 48/64-inch choke it potentialed 1.400 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • When gauged on an adjustable choke, the Kangerga Bros. Well No. 10 potentialed 1.787 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. EOG Resources Inc. is the operator. Location is 5.1 miles southeast of Henderson in the Minden Field. It bottoms at 10,776 feet. Production is in the Cotton Valley Consolidated formation.

  • The Niebel Well No. 4 flowed with 122 barrels of crude per day on a 14/64-inch choke. This well was drilled 5.63 miles northeast of Minden in the Minden Field. The well was completed to 8,215 feet by Cabot Oil & Gas Corp. Production is in the Travis Peak Consolidated formation.

  • Shelby County

  • In a lease 0.24 miles west of Dreka in the Huxley Field, the Inez Davis Unit Well No. 3H was completed by Ellora Operating LP. It bottoms at 14,375 feet. On a 20/64-inch choke it potentialed 2.454 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the 6100 formation.

  • When gauged on a 30/64-inch choke, the Cook Estate Gas Unit Well No. 1 potentialed 94,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day. It is located 2.7 miles southwest of Joaquin in the Carthage Field. KCS Resources, Inc. completed the well to 9,980 feet. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • Smith County

    The Ware Oil Unit Well No.1 was been completed by EnSight III Energy Management. The well is located 3.2 miles northwest of Troup in the Map Boys Field. Total depth 8,012 feet. The well flowed with 30 barrels of crude per day when gauged on an open choke. Production is in the Rodessa formation.
