Valence Files Notice To Drill Noonday Area Well

DEVELOPMENTAL
Smith County

The Bracken Grandchildren Trust Well No. 3 will be drilled 0.2 miles northwest of Noonday in the Noonday (Travis Peak) Field. The well will be drilled by Valence Operating and will hit 16,000 feet in the Quevedo, T Survey, A-18. This well may also be drilled in the Noonday (Rodessa) Field or a wildcat field.

Angelina County

The EnCana Oil & Gas (USA) will drill the Preston Heirs Unit Well No. 12 in the Raintree (Hosston) Field. The well will hit 13,000 feet 3.5 miles southeast of Wells in the Durst, J Survey, A-703.

Cherokee County

Marathon Oil will drill the Holcomb Gas Unit 1 Well No. 5H to 14,000 feet 5.8 miles northwest of Alto in the White Oak Creek (Pettit) Field. This well will lie in the Taylor, WW Survey, A-856 and may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

Freestone County

  • XTO Energy will drill the C.A. Newsome Gas Unit Well No. 41 in the Freestone (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field. The well will hit 13,500 feet in the Newman, AC Survey, A-477 2.4 miles northwest of Donie.

  • In a lease 1.3 miles southwest of Streetman, in the Cheneyboro (Cotton Valley) Field, the Holt Gas Unit Well No. 1 will be drilled by XTO Energy. The well will hit 10,600 feet in the Howard, M Survey, A-267.

  • The Worth "A" Gas Unit Well No. 7 will be drilled by XTO Energy in the Freestone (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field. The well will hit 13,600 feet in the Chavert, JL Survey, A-10 2.7 miles northwest of Donie.

  • Gregg County

  • The Danville, East (Cotton Valley) Field will see the Griffin Ranch G.U. 4 Well No. 5 drilled by Geo-Vest of Texas. The well is 5.5 miles northeast of Kilgore in the Bradley, E Survey, A-17 and will hit 11,000 feet. The well may also be drilled in the Danville (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field or a wildcat field.

  • Samson Lone Star will drill the Judge Daniels Gas Unit 1 Well No. 9 in the Danville, East (Cotton Valley) Field. This well will hit 13,000 feet in the Wells, H Survey, A-222 2.5 miles east of Kilgore. The well may also be drilled in the Danville (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field or a wildcat field.

  • Harrison County

  • GMX Resources will drill the Blocker Heirs Well No. 10D in the Carthage, North (Cotton Valley) Field. The well will hit 11,800 feet in the Ussury, MS Survey, A-722 and is eight miles southeast of Marshall.

  • In a lease 5.9 miles southwest of Hallsville, in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field, the Bivins-Eastman Gas Unit Well No. 3 will be drilled by XTO Energy. The well will hit 13,000 feet in the Pearson, TK Survey, A-586.

  • The Clinton, E.R. Estate Well No. 1 will be drilled in a wildcat field 8.4 miles northeast of Longview by Neumin Production to 12,000 feet in the Weir, WR Survey, A-770. This well may also be drilled in the Grisby (Travis Peak) Field, the Lansing, North (Travis Peak) Field or the Lansing, North (Cotton Valley, Lower) Field.

  • O'Benco will drill the Doyle Harris Gas Unit Well No. 6 in the Darco, Southeast (Cotton Valley) Field. The well will hit 11,000 feet in the Duncan, M Survey, A-197 and may also be drilled in a wildcat field or the Blocker (Page) Field.

  • A wildcat field will see the Wilson Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 5 drilled to 12,000 feet by NFR Energy. This well is 4.9 miles southeast of Longview in the Hill, J Survey, A-300. This well may also be drilled in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field.

  • Marion County

    Winchester Production will drill the Barton Well No. 1 in a wildcat field to 9,700 feet 2.6 miles southwest of Gray in the Potter, R Survey, A-307.

    Nacogdoches County

  • The Douglass, West (Travis Peak) Field will see the Desha GU 1 Well No. 5 and the Hayter Well No. 56 drilled by Samson Lone Star. The No. 5 will hit 12,000 feet in the Tobar, J Survey, A-54 11 miles northwest of Nacogdoches. The No. 56 well will hit 12,000 feet in the De Los Santos Coy, M & Bros. Survey, A-21. These wells may also be drilled in the Little Ears (Pettit Lime) Field, the Nacogdoches, East (James Lime) Field, a wildcat field or the Miyagi (Pettit) Field.

  • The Trawick Gas Unit 14 Well No. 7 will be drilled 5.9 miles east of Cushing in the Trawick (Travis Peak) Field. The well will hit 9,600 feet in the Cervantes, D Survey, A-15 by Exxon Mobil. This well may also be drilled in the Trawick (Pettit) Field or a wildcat field.

  • Cabot Oil & Gas will drill the Trawick Gas Unit 16 Well No. 101 to 14,000 feet in the Trawick (Cotton Valley) Field. The well is 6.5 miles southeast of Cushing in the Sanchez, L Survey, A-50 and may also be drilled in the Trawick (Jurassic) Field.

  • Navarro County

    In a lease 2.1 miles northwest of Streetman, in the Cheneyboro (Cotton Valley) Field, the Milligan Gas Unit Well No. 1 will be drilled by XTO Energy to 10,400 feet in the Hudson, W Survey, A-397.

    Panola County

    Goodrich Petroleum will drill the Taylor Bros. Well No. 2 1.9 miles west of Fairplay in the Beckville (Cotton Valley) Field to 12,000 feet in the Flores, P Survey, A-198. This well may also be drilled in a wildcat field or the Beckville (Travis Peak) Field.

    Robertson County

  • Williams, Clayton Energy will drill the Scarpinato-Reistino Unit Well No. 2 to 6,900 feet in the Giddings (Austin Chalk-3) Field 7.1 miles southwest of Hearne in the Nixon, GA Survey, A-31.

  • The Bald Prairie (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field will see the Olene Reagan Gas Unit No. 3 Well No. 1 drilled by XTO Energy to 15,300 feet. This well is 17.4 miles northeast of Franklin in the De La Concepcion Marquez, M Survey, A-25.

  • In a lease 2.5 miles southwest of Bald Prairie, in the Bald Prairie (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field, the Whaley, T.W. Jr. Well No. 5 will be drilled by EnCana Oil & Gas (USA) Inc. This well will hit 13,300 feet in the Robinson, D Survey, A-321.

  • EnCana Oil & gas (USA) will drill the McLean-Martin Well No. 2 and the No. 3 in the John Amoruso (Bossier) Field 11.4 miles northeast of Franklin. The wells will hit 18,200 feet in the Periera, P/Grande, J&M Survey, A-32.

  • The Wallingford Gas Unit Well No. 2 and the Bumpurs Gas Unit Well No. 1 will be drilled in the Bald Prairie (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field by XTO Energy. The No. 2 well is 2.8 miles northwest of Franklin in the Hill, HJA Survey, A-173 and will hit 15,400 feet. The No. 1 well is 18.4 miles northeast of Franklin in the De La Concepcion, Marquez, M Survey, A-25 and will hit 15,300 feet.

  • The Bald Prairie (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field will see the Blair, John Well No. 38 drilled by Coronado Energy E&P. This well will hit 13,500 feet in the Frost, JB Survey, A-149. This well may also be drilled in the Bald Prairie (Travis Peak) Field or the Bald Prairie (Pettit) Field.

  • Red Willow Production will drill the Rolke Ranch Well No. 1 in a lease 3.3 miles north of Bald Prairie in the Bohlwhite (Cotton Valley Lime) Field. The well will hit 18,500 feet in the Hill, A Survey, A-176 and may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • Rusk County

  • The Kangerga 1 Well No. 8 and the No. 10 will be drilled in the Minden (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field by El Paso E&P. The No. 8 well is 2.8 miles in the Pollett, E Survey, A-622. The No. 10 well is 2.6 miles southeast of Henderson in the Smith, J Survey, A-709. Both wells will hit 11,500 feet and may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • Samson Lone Star will drill the W.C. Strong Well No. 6 in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field to 13,000 feet in the Castro, F Survey, A-4. This well is nine miles northwest of Tatum and may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • In a lease 4.7 miles southeast of Henderson, in the Minden (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field, the Spikes Gas Unit 1 Well No. 13 will be drilled by National Onshore to 12,000 feet in the Peck, SR Survey, A-620. This well may also be drilled in the Minden (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field.

  • National Onshore will drill the Kangerga Well No. 3 and the Wilkerson Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 10 in the Minden (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field to 12,000 feet. The No. 3 is 7.9 miles southeast of Henderson in the Hunt, A Survey, A-417. This well may also be drilled in the Minden (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field or a wildcat field. The No. 10 is six miles southeast of Henderson in the Peck, SR Survey, A-620. This well may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • The Rogers, Travis Well No. 1 will be drilled 4.5 miles west of Henderson by Goodrich Petroleum to 11,500 feet in the Smith, HM Survey, A-702. The well may also be drilled in the Minden (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field or a wildcat field.

  • In a lease 20.9 miles southwest of Marshall in a wildcat field, the Gladney Gas Unit Well No. 11 will be drilled by NEG Operating. This well will hit 14,000 feet in the Isaac Lee Survey, A-17 and may also be drilled in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field.

  • Verado Energy will drill the C.E. Williamson Heirs Gas Unit Well No. 10 to 12,000 feet in a wildcat field. The well is 6.5 miles southwest of Tatum in the WMC Kellett Survey, A-475. This well may also be drilled in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field.

  • Shelby County

  • The Joaquin (Travis Peak) Field will see the Pickering Lumber Co. Well No. B 19 drilled to 8,800 feet by Hunt Petroleum 1.4 miles east of Joaquin in the Henry, Mrs. CE Survey, A-346.

  • Devon Energy Production will drill the McSwain Well No. 5 in the Stockman (Cotton Valley) Field to 15,000 feet. The well is 8.5 miles southwest of Center in the Goss, G Survey, A-1056. This well may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • In a lease 17 miles southeast of Shelbyville, in a wildcat field, the James Vua;Black Stone Minerals Well No. 1 will be drilled by Ensight III Energy Management. The well will hit 7,000 feet in the Gonzales, D Survey, A-237.


  • COMPLETIONS
    Anderson County

    The Fairway (James Lime) Unit Well No. 751-3H has been completed 2.5 miles southeast of Poynor in the Fairway Field. Hunt Oil drilled the well to 13,142 feet and flowed with 0 barrels of crude per day on an open choke. Production is in the James Lime formation.

    Cherokee County

    In a lease 6.9 miles northwest of Wells in the Doyle Creek Field, the Staton Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 1 has been completed by XTO Energy. The well hit 12,202 feet and potentialed 2.981 million cubic feet of gas per day on a 15/64-inch choke. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.

    Franklin County

    The New Hope Deep Unit Well No. 69D has been completed by XTO Energy in the New Hope Field. This well is 6.5 miles northeast of Winnsboro with a depth of 12,500 feet. When gauged on a 48/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 2.398 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Smackover formation.

    Freestone County

    The Teague Field has seen the Cooper Gas Unit Well No. 6 completed by XTO Energy to 12,530 feet. This well is 1.8 miles east of Teague and potentialed 1.417 million cubic feet of natural gas per day on a 48/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated formation.

    Gregg County

    When gauged on an 11/64-inch choke, the Le Tourneau Well No. 1 potentialed 758,000 cubic feet of gas per day. This well is 3.6 miles southwest of Longview in the Willow Springs Field. Neumin Production completed the well to 11,200 feet. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

    Leon County

    When gauged on a 48/64-inch choke, the Mullenax, G. Well No. 8 potentialed 1.976 million cubic feet of gas per day. The well is 5.3 miles northwest of Marquez in the Bear Grass Field. Anadarko Petroleum completed the well to 13,590 feet. Production is in the Cotton Valley Consolidated formation.
