Lon Morris Announces Two New Trustees

JACKSONVILLE - Lon Morris College board members welcomed two new trustees to their ranks on Monday.

Frank Ashcroft will serve on the Endowment Committee, and Greg James will serve on the Finance Committee.

James, who owns Greg James Country Motors in Rusk, is a 1977 graduate of the University of Michigan and a 2004 graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, where he earned an MBA.

He's served as Chairman of the Nacogdoches Economic Development Corporation from 1997-2000, board member of the Rusk Industrial Foundation, member of the Rusk Chamber Executive Committee, Chairman and Founder of Keep Nacogdoches Beautiful and Chairman of the City of Nacogdoches Planning Commission.

While serving on the SFA Foundation Board, James established the SFA Alumni Association Scholarship and served on the SFA College of Business Dean Search Committee.

He and his wife, Cindy, live in Nacogdoches and have one daughter, Katie Lynn James.

Ashcroft is a 1975 graduate of Texas A&M University at Commerce and serves as director for the Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce and Nacogdoches Economic Development Committee.

He's also a member of the Nacogdoches Industrial Foundation and served as director for Regions Bank, Nacogdoches, from 1982-2005.

Ashcroft is currently president of BFA Enterprises Inc., a residential and commercial real estate firm. Additionally, he serves as a member of the Board of Trustees and Endowment Committee at his church, First United Methodist Church, Nacogdoches.

Ashcroft and his wife, Anne, live in Nacogdoches and have two daughters, Ashley and Alexandra.
