Man Jailed After Longview Burglary
A Longview man is in Gregg County Jail after being arrested in connection with a burglary of a business this morning, police said.
It was discovered about 1:15 a.m. that someone smashed the front glass door at Alan’s Baseball Card Shop, 2424 Judson Road, Longview, and took from the register what had been identified as a forged check.
Later in the morning, Officer Alex Castillo stopped David Harper, 21, for suspicion of DWI. Harper had shards of glass in his clothing and a carbon copy of the check taken during the burglary, police said.
Harper was booked on charges of DWI and burglary of a building.
