Appalled At Cost
I have been following the "jail issue" in the Tyler Paper, and while many before me have said it better, I am appalled at the inordinate amount of money this new jail will cost.
I think our prisons and jails should be stark, modest, nothing-but-the-basics buildings. And why in the world would we Tyler residents ever want to put it downtown? Wouldn't the boonies be cheaper? Do the Powers That Be not care what the public wants?
