Queen's Tea Set Friday At Rose Garden
The Texas Rose Festival Queen's Tea, "Nature's Tea in the Rose Garden," is planned for 3-5 p.m. Friday at the Tyler Rose Garden, 420 Rose Park Drive. In case of rain, activities will be moved indoors at the Rose Garden Center.

The event is hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Thomas B. Ramey III and the Texas Rose Festival Association, represented by Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Clawater III, in honor of Queen Grace Hartley Ramey, Duchess of the Rose Growers Amanda Joan Henson and the ladies-in-waiting of the Tyler court.

Royal attendants include trainbearers Mallory Kristine Curtis and Sarah Beth Michelle Rogers; scepter bearer Smith Perry Reynolds IV; royal attendants Elizabeth Reid Walker and Ann Caswell Ferguson; and maiden to the queen Molly Louise Berry. The roles of junior hostesses and servers will be filled by children and young people from the community.

Committee members and their responsibilities include Chair Kelley Brownlow; junior hostesses, Jennifer Alden, Resa Clarke and Renee Faulconer; media coordinator, Linda Rowe; name tags, Shawn Bergfeld and Jennifer Rainer; publicity, Kelley Brownlow; punch servers and runners, Sally Martin and Anne Moody; queen's guard, Elizabeth Chilton and Caroline Wiley; refreshment coordinators, Jill Hickerson and Cindy Robinson; security, David Lisner; table monitors, Paula Brookshire, Molly Holbrook, Stephanie Nickel and Callie Northcutt; tea day coordinators, Martha Bain and Kelly Lansford; tea waiter chair, Lorie Farrar.
