Tyler

Ryan Garrett Jasper, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Kent Jasper of Tyler, is a sophomore at Tyler Junior College in Tyler, where he is majoring in geology.

Jasper is a 2006 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler, where he was a three-year member of the basketball team and a two-year member of the hockey team, a member of the Science Club and Spanish Club.

Jasper was a member of the 2006 Junior Symphony League Honor Guard and a member of the 2000 Boy Scout Honor Guard for Rose Festival Queen Caroline Key. Mr. Jasper is a member of Pollard United Methodist Church, Boy Scouts of America Troop 369, the Venture Crew and has received his Eagle Scout Award, as well as the Heroism Award. Mr. Jasper is the recipient of an award from the Tyler Fire Department for recognition of heroic and rescue efforts for his assistance in saving the life of his neighbor.

Family members who have participated in past Rose Festivals include his mother, Marla Grabowsky Jasper, 1989 Queens Tea Committee, 1990 Coronation Wardrobe Committee, 1991 Make Up Committee, Rose Show Hospitality Committee, Order of the Rose Ball decorations volunteer, and Kick-Off Party Host, father Alan Kent Jasper, Kick-Off Party Host, brother, Luke Jasper, 2003 Escort and sister Beth Jasper, Junior Queens Tea Hostess.

Tyler relatives include his brothers, Luke Jasper and Casey Jasper and sister, Beth Jasper.
