State Fair Offers Discount Thursday
East Texas State Fair is offering $2 off the admission price Thursday to those who bring four cans of food that will be donated to East Texas Food Bank.
"This time of year the Food Bank needs canned vegetables, fruits, and meats," says Robert L. Bush, food bank executive director. "The last three years this food drive has brought in more than 30,000 pounds of food to the Food Bank and we are grateful for the East Texas State Fair's support to ending hunger in East Texas."
This is the 15th year the fair and the food bank have partnered for the promotion.
