Lady-In-Waiting: Melissa Staton Dougherty
Miss Melissa Staton Dougherty is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kenneth Dougherty of Tyler. She is a sophomore student at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville majoring in Elementary Education and is a member of Chi Omega sorority.
Miss Dougherty is a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School where she was named to the A and A-B Honor Roll and listed in Who’s Who Among American High School Students. She was a member of National Honor Society, Student Senate and the Southern Belle Drill Team where she served as an officer her senior year.
Miss Dougherty’s volunteer activities included the Junior Symphony League, where she served as Historian, and she received the Windsor Distinguished Service Award as a senior. She was also a Junior Hostess for the Queen’s Tea.
