Whitehouse Goes To 5-0 In District
LONGVIEW - Whitehouse kept its unbeaten district record intact with a 3-0 victory against Pine Tree on Tuesday.
The Ladycats (15-6, 5-0 in District 12-4A) won 25-19, 25-19, 25-13.
Whitehouse was led by Jordan Knight (10 digs, six kills, one block, 16 service points, eight aces), Christine Ford (two digs, nine assists, nine kills, block, 20 service points, four aces), Joanna Blake (three digs, 14 assists, two kills, eight points), Sadie Hilburn (four kills) and Katie Kidwell (four kills).
Whitehouse won the junior varsity match, 25-15, 25-14, but fell in freshman play, 20-25, 25-16, 10-25.
Whitehouse returns to action at home Friday against Henderson. Varsity action is scheduled for 4:30 p.m., and will be followed by the JV match.

Bullard 3, Brownsboro 0
BROWNSBORO - The Lady Panthers defeated Brownsboro in the District 14-3A opener, 26-24, 25-9, 25-14.
Calli Miller paced Bullard (19-7, 1-0) with 12 kills, 13 aces and four digs. Ashley Davis added 10 kills, three aces and solo blocks.
Whitney Lust provided 36 assists and Allison Burton registered eight digs for Bullard.
Hillary Shaffer led the Bearettes (10-10, 0-1) with four aces, two blocks and three kills. Naomi Scott added an ace, a block and two kills, while Amber Strickland registered five assists and one ace.
Amye Scarbrough also had an ace for Brownsboro.
Both Bullard subvarsity teams defeated Brownsboro. The junior varsity won 25-21, 20-25, 25-16, while the freshmen were victorious, 25-18, 25-18.

VAN - The Van Lady Vandals scored a 3-0 win over Canton in a District 14-3A volleyball match Tuesday. Van (10-12, 1-0) won 25-10, 25-23, 25-14.
Standouts for Van were Randi McClanahan (30 assists), Ashely Parish (6 digs), Caitlin Galloway (7 kills, 6 digs), Shannon Hullum (12 kills, 9 digs, 2 blocks) and Sarah Milewski (9 kills).
The Van junior varsity (25-14, 25-16) and freshman (26-24, 25-15) teams scored wins as well.

NEW CHAPEL HILL - Athens scored a 3-0 win over Chapel Hill Tuesday in a District 14-3A volleyball match.
Athens (1-0 in district) won 25-18, 25-19, 25-14.
Standouts for Chapel Hill were Eboni Miller (6 kills, 11 digs) and Jasmine Gardner (5 kills, 8 digs).
Chapel Hill (7-12, 0-1) plays at Canton Tuesday.
