Sept. 11: Always There to Support
RAVES: Please send dozens of roses.
All of us at The Pilot Club of Tyler want to thank those in the Tyler community who came out on Wednesday to support our “Helmets 4 Kids, Save A Life” fundraiser — a benefit performance of Tyler Civic Theatre’s new play, “Murder Me, Murder Me Not.” Everyone who attended can be certain that their generosity will result in saving a child from brain injury or death, because the monies raised will go to support the purchase of helmets to be used in the Tyler Police Department’s bicycle and other safety programs throughout this next year.
We could not have done this without the Tyler Civic Theatre Center’s cast and staff, who gave of their time and talents, as well as the Tyler Police Department’s giving us able assistance throughout the planning and completion of this fundraiser. We also want to thank Southside Bank and Tanner’s Bikes for providing us the child’s bicycle for our drawing. And, of course, our special thanks go to every Pilot member who worked so diligently to make this a special evening.
And, finally, our congratulations go to Derek Neff, the winner of the drawing for our bicycle. Thanks again, Tylerites — you never fail to come through in supporting our fundraisers, which allow us to continue to support so many important projects here in Tyler.
