The good news is the measure will go to conference where it will confront House measures that do not award citizenship to illegal aliens. Maybe sanity will prevail.
In pursuit of cheap labor the ruling class is attempting to further legitimize low wage competition to American workers.
Adding more claimants to social benefits (Social Security, Supplementary Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax Credits, Child Tax Credits, etc.) is like putting out fire with gasoline instead of water.
Funds for future Social Security and Medicare beneficiaries have already been spent. Unlike capital gains, interest and dividend income, wages are taxed twice (two income taxes) at the source. The FICA tax is merged with the FIT from workers' paychecks and sent to the U.S. Treasury. IOUs are sent to the respective Trust (Slush) Funds. The cash is spent and debt in the slush funds compounds because the government is loaning money to itself.
Contact your political representatives and ask them how and who will redeem the IOUs? Instruct them to be specific in their response. Do it now!
Instead of repealing a law that provides that government may only loan money to itself, the government continues to create new laws that perpetuate legalized fraud. When will the American people wake up? A small chance still exists that another Great Depression may be avoided, but only if politicians are held accountable for decades of mischief. The chances for this are slim to none.

Property Rights
Practically a re-writing of the Constitution, literally ignoring the Fifth Amendment, has recently occurred. A court ruling that means no privately owned property is safe from government seizure - houses, farms, churches, church camps, family owned restaurants and small businesses are all at risk.
If a proposed development would bring economic advantage or increased tax revenue to an area, it could get the "green light." Just days before the Supreme Court's summer recess it so ruled. Our government's power of eminent domain has taken a frightening level. Almost anything will "increase tax revenue" compared to a church, so beware. Properties in Florida and California already have been seized.
We must band together and call on a Christian-minded Congress for immediate help.
Know this: A Republican senator, John Cornyn of Texas, quickly introduced a bill called, "The Protection of Homes, Small Businesses and Private Property Act of 2005". This alert senator needs our immediate assistance to draft a more "air tight" version of the original bill.
Every sincere U.S. voter would do well to contact: American Center for Law and Justice, P.O. Box 90555, Washington, D.C. 2009-0555.
To those who really care about preserving our Constitution freedoms in America, pray. "Justice, Justice, you shall pursue," Deut. 16:20.
Our future is tied to our past, which includes references to our faith, family and godly morality.

Government Snooping
In the early 1900s my grandparents came to America from the "Old Country" to seek a better life. They came to the United States to escape the tyranny of Communism, and for the prospect of finally enjoying the blessings of liberty and freedom.
Tragically, what we now have in America has the "form and substance" of communism, combined with a nasty high-tech "twist" - namely, U.S. government agencies using relatively cheap electronics to snoop on the phone calls and computer communications of law-abiding citizens. For all intents and purposes, this amounts to a blanket search warrant on the entire American populace.
Apparently everybody is now presumed guilty of some undisclosed "crime," yet the government is not required to show probable cause nor produce a court order to obtain sensitive personal information about individual citizens.
Mind you, we are talking about millions of citizens (like myself) who are simply trying to live peaceful lives. You know ... raising children, taking care of their families and working hard to make an honest living from a job, a small business and/or investments on the financial market.
These everyday people don't fall under my definition of criminals. Do they fall under your definition? If not, let's put an end to this nonsense now, before it's too late.
Let's select somebody to head the CIA who will perform his duties within proper legal parameters. The last thing we need is to promote Gen. Hayden (the overseer of the illegal NSA spying program) to head the CIA!
Finally, let's impeach Bush/Cheney - the sooner the better! Our once great country is now in the "intensive care ward" as a result of their reprehensible and illegal actions.

A Suggestion
I have a suggestion for this jail-overcrowding problem - ship them all to Iraq, bring our boys back, and let them do whatever they want. No more overcrowding, no more "cruel and painful" needles at death row, no more feeding and pampering criminals with my tax dollars, no more lawyers getting rich. Problems solved!
