High pressure returning

High pressure that brought the hot temperatures last week will slowly build back across the region for this upcoming week. This will again suppress rainfall activity across the region and bring temperatures back into the hot category for much of the upcoming week. There is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday if an easterly wave of low pressure and a disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico move enough moisture in the southerly flow northward into our region.

Winds should increase on Tuesday and Wednesday from the south and this may allow a sea breeze front to surge north into our area. Until then, temperatures on Sunday and Monday will again be in the low to mid 90's and remain in the mid 90's for much of the upcoming week. Expect some low clouds across the region this morning with decreasing clouds becoming mostly sunny to partly cloudy during the afternoon with only isolated showers or thunderstorms around the area.
