Continued hot and dry

The weather across East Texas will remain very quiet through the weekend and into the first half of next week, thanks to high pressure centered directly over East Texas. This, along with the drying soil, and the still stout August sun angle will equate into high temperatures close to the century mark for each of the next four days, along with lows only in the middle 70s. By the middle of next week, the ridge will have weakened and this will open the door for some rainfall chances.
