A cold front that moved through East Texas is expected to lie along the Texas coast today. The air behind the front is drier, so it will feel more comfortable even with temperatures in the low 90s this afternoon. A ridge of high pressure will settle over the Plains through the rest of the week. That will bring temperatures about 10 degrees below normal with highs in the mid-80s Thursday and Friday. There will be a 30 to 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Wednesday through Friday.
