The weekend is looking uneventful across East Texas. Look for temperatures to warm a couple of degrees each day, as we dry out the soil from this week’s rainfall. The temperature should stay below 100. By Monday, the ridge of high pressure that will keep the hot temperatures in place will begin moving back to the West. This will open the door for a cold front to move through the area on Monday. The front will bring a chance for showers and thunderstorms.
In addition, Temps will cool somewhat, as a modified airmass from the North moves into the area. The aforementioned High Pressure Ridge will stay well to our West through the end of next week, and this will allow for disturbances to run down the Plains. These will help to keep the Rainfall chances in place through Friday, at least.
