Temperatures rebound

Changes in our unseasonably cool weather will begin this afternoon. Cool air under a low-level inversion where moisture has been trapped just above the cool air layer has kept cloud cover from dissipating and has kept our temperatures unseasonably cool. The forecast will be tricky today. Clouds should begin to dissipate during late morning or at least by the early afternoon with temperatures rising back into the 80s to near 90 degrees.

Expect temperatures to start off your Sunday in the mid to upper 60's and warm into the mid and upper 80's later today with light easterly winds. Strong summer time sunshine warm temperatures will begin to move back into the region for the new work week. High pressure aloft will again take control over our region for the upcoming week. This means the combination of strong sunshine will bring summer time temperatures back to the region. The upper level high will begin compressional heating for the new work week warming temperatures back into the hot category of mid and upper 90's by mid week into next weekend. Overnight low temperatures will again move back into the low and mid 70's.
