An upper level low pressure system will move from the Rockies across the Red River into the Ark-La-Tex today through early Friday. The cold front that crossed East Texas on Tuesday will return to the north as a warm front and help focus showers and heavy thunderstorms over East Texas. Anywhere from 1 to 5 inches of rain could fall, with the heaviest amounts north of Interstate-20. High temperatures will be in the mid-80s today and Friday.

Temperatures will return to the normal mid 90s this weekend.
