The temperature reached 100 degrees in Lufkin Sunday afternoon. That’s the first official 100 degree temperature recorded in East Texas this year, and we could see more today. Tonight, the weather will begin to change with the approach of a cold front from the north. There will be a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms ahead of the front. High temperatures will be near 90 degrees, and winds will be north from 5 to 10 mph by Tuesday afternoon. We will just be getting started with the rain for the week.
