A cold front will drift southward across East Texas and reach the upper Texas coast today. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along the front with the chance of rain as high as 40 percent. High temperatures will be near 90 degrees and the humidity will be a little lower north of the front. The Fourth of July still looks good with mostly sunny skies and a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will be in the low 90s with an east wind at 5 to 10 mph.
