Another round of scattered afternoon showers appears to be on tap for today and Sunday afternoon. However, the overall coverage should be lower than what we saw on Friday. By Monday, high pressure should help to reduce the chances even further, and a dry forecast is in place through the first half of next week. On Wednesday another chance for rain will return to the area, and this will continue during the afternoon — through the fourth of July.
The recent rainfall makes it hard to believe that we are so close to Independence Day! Temps will make a strong run back to near normal over the weekend, with warm conditions expected through the next 5-7 days. Thankfully, the recent rainfall has moistened the soil which should help to offset the intense sunshine that occurs at this time of year. Speaking of, the sun angle has begun to slowly decrease, now that we have passed the summer solstice.
