An upper-level ridge of high pressure over the southeastern U.S. will keep East Texas warm and humid this week. Rain chances will be less than 20 percent each day. High temperatures will be near normal for mid-June, so temperatures will top out near 90 degrees. The ridge will strengthen over Texas by the weekend and push high temperatures into the mid-90s. Long-range forecasts indicate East Texas will have slightly better chances of rain by Monday or Tuesday.
