Continued warm, humid

Upper level high pressure across Texas continues to inhibit shower development. East Texas will stay warm and humid through the weekend. Expect high temperatures in the low 90s, lows in the low 70s and south winds 10 to 15 mph through Sunday. The high will migrate into the northwest Gulf of Mexico early next week, and showers and thunderstorms will develop as disturbances move around the southern end of a trough of low pressure, which will lie across the Plains by that time.
