This week’s rainfall has been caused by low pressure aloft, which will continue weakening during the weekend as it remains in the area. This will cause additional showers to develop today and (to a lesser degree) on Sunday. Look for this to primarily take place during the afternoon and early evening. Rainfall totals will vary significantly over short distances, due to the sporadic nature of the development. By Monday, high pressure aloft will help to shut-down the rain machine, and turn up the heat.
