An upper-level low pressure area over northern New Mexico will move to the Red River Valley of North Texas Tuesday. Showers and thunderstorms will become more numerous today over western North Texas and increase over East Texas tonight and Tuesday as the low drifts eastward. There is a possiblity that some storms could produce damaging winds and hail Tuesday afternoon and evening in Central and East Texas. There could be as much as 4 inches of rain along the Interstate 20 corridor by the end of the week.
