This weekend will be pleasant thanks to a cut-off upper-level area of low pressure that will be slow to cross the country, out of the Southwest. This system will continue to pump a lot of moisture across the state through the weekend, and quite a bit of rainfall over the western half of Texas. The moisture will show up as cloud cover for our area. This will help to keep temperatures in check. By Monday, the chance for showers and thunderstorms will come back into the forecast.
