Warm, dry ahead

It’s going to be a warm, dry week in East Texas. High pressure aloft will drop anchor over Southeast Texas and block a low pressure system on the West Coast from moving our way. A surface high over the southeastern states will bring south winds 10 to 15 mph gusting to 25 mph today and Tuesday. The moisture from those winds will give us morning clouds, but it is not expected to be deep enough to provide afternoon showers from heating. Temperatures will range from the mid-60s in the morning to the mid- and high 80s in the afternoon.
