The upper-level trough of low pressure responsible for the needed rainfall is moving eastward. That will mean an end to the rain. High temperatures today will be in the mid-60s, which is nearly 20 degrees below normal for mid-May. Lows tonight will be in the mid-40s. Sunshine will return this afternoon and stay through the weekend. High temperatures will return to the low 80s this weekend with lows in the mid-50s to low 60s. Winds will be from the north 10 to 15 mph through Friday.
