There will be a slight chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms this weekend. Highs will be in the mid- 80s with south winds 10 to 15 mph gusting to 25 mph. A strong upper-level trough of low pressure will move out of the Rockies and into the Plains on Monday. Thunderstorms will develop east of the dryline in West Texas on Monday and move across the state. East Texas will see increased thunderstorm activity Monday followed by mostly sunny skies and unseasonably cool temperatures at midweek.
