An upper-level trough of low pressure will move out of the Rockies and into the Plains today. Thunderstorm activity, which has been limited along the dryline this week, will increase and move eastward today. Showers and thunderstorms are likely across East Texas this afternoon and evening. Some storms could produce large hail, damaging winds and tornadoes. High temperatures will be in the low 80s this afternoon. Winds will be south 15 mph gusting to 25 mph.
