Sunday could be rough

After a very pleasant start to the weekend, there are big things coming to East Texas by the latter part. Look for the humidity to increase today, thanks to breezy south winds, which will draw moisture from along the Texas coast. Along with the additional moisture will come much warmer overnight temperatures, setting the stage for what appears to be a widespread severe weather outbreak Sunday afternoon. All modes of severe weather will be on the table for this event including tornadoes, large Hail, & strong straight line winds. If you have outdoor activities planned for Sunday afternoon, you will want to pay special attention to this likely threat. Even non-severe storms will produce frequent lightning. On a brighter note, Temperatures from Tuesday through the remainder of next week should trend well-below normal, especially at night, with pleasant conditions during the afternoon hours. Enjoy the weekend, and stay tuned for more updates.
