The weather across East Texas is shaping-up perfectly for Easter weekend! Temperatures will continue above normal through the next five to seven days, as well, with highs near the 80 degree mark through the period. By late on Sunday, a storm feature will have begun approaching the area, and this will necessitate a low end chance for some showers and thunderstorms by Sunday evening, which will carry-over into the day on Monday. Rainfall amounts will be on the meager side, with under one quarter inch in most spots. Severe weather is not a major concern with the late Sunday/Monday event either. The longer range outlook continues to trend above normal with temperatures, through the next 14 days. Happy Easter from the CBS-19 Weather Department!
