Today will be mostly sunny and warm with high temperatures in the upper 70s and south winds 10 to 15 mph. Saturday will be partly cloudy and warmer with highs near 80 degrees. An upper level low pressure system from the Pacific will arrive Sunday. It will combine with a trough of low pressure moving south from Canada and bring possibly severe thunderstorms to East Texas Sunday afternoon and Sunday night.
After the rain ends early Monday, cooler air will move in and keep temperatures below normal through the middle of next week.
Temperatures Friday morning will hover near 58 degrees before falling during the day and reaching 40 degrees Saturday morning. Expect a high near 61 Saturday afternoon, a low near 39 degrees Sunday morning, and a high near 64 degrees Sunday afternoon. We will have to consider the possibility of scattered frost Sunday and Monday mornings depending how fast the air dries out after the rain.
