East Texas will be partly cloudy and windy today with high temperatures in the upper 60s. South winds of 10 to 15 mph then gusting to 25 mph will signal the approach of another upper level trough of low pressure from the west. That system will arrive Saturday and touch off thunderstorms Saturday afternoon and Saturday night. There is a slight risk of severe storms which could produce large hail, and there is a smaller chance of damaging thunderstorm winds and isolated tornadoes. The rain will end Sunday.
