Temperatures over the last week will become a distant memory by this evening as the strongest cold front of this early Fall season moves across East Texas during the early afternoon. Along with the wind shift line, a broken line of showers and t-storms are expected. However, rainfall totals will be pretty modest, due to a lack of moisture aloft, which is necessary for beneficial rains, like last week.
By this evening some rather strong upper level support will cross the area, and that should be enough for a few Showers across the area as we approach sunset, and a few hours afterwards. Temps will cool nicely behind this afternoon's front, and this will result in a rather stark contrast across the region. Skies should gradually clear late tonight and Sunday, allowing Temps to drop nicely into the Lower 50's by early on Sunday. The coolest readings of the week will be seen on Monday morning, when upper 40's are expected across most of East Texas.
