Isolated storms

A strong storm system is crossing the Rockies and Great Plains. It will make a difference in our weather starting as early as tonight. Isolated showers and thunderstorms will develop again this afternoon, but rain will increase through Friday night. That should make for a wet night at some of the high school football games. Isolated and severe storms, with some hail and high winds can’t be ruled out, but no organized severe weather is expected.

Up to 2 inches of rain could fall by Saturday morning.

Most of the weekend looks dry with high temperatures in the mid 80s. The first half of next week will be mostly sunny with highs returning to the high 80s and low 90s.
