No rain in sight

A large ridge of mid-level high pressure will continue to suppress rainfall across East Texas — as well as keep temperatures well-above normal through the next five to seven days. This ridge will gradually reposition itself east of our area by early next week, and this will give a slight bit of relief from the heat. Look for high temps to remain in excess of 90 degress through the forecast cycle. Normal highs for this time of year are running anywhere from 90 to 92 degress.
