High pressure aloft over the southern Rockies continues to influence the weather here in East Texas. Rain chances will stay low, and temperatures will be above normal through the weekend. High temperatures will be in the mid-90s with east winds less than 10 mph. Burn bans are in place for almost all of East Texas. Tyler and Longview rainfall is near 10 inches below normal year-to-date, and Lufkin is 5 inches below normal.
