Most of East Texas will stay hot and dry. There is a 20 percent chance of a few isolated showers and thunderstorms around Lufkin, Nacogdoches and the lakes area of Deep East Texas this afternoon. That chance is about 10 percent in the Tyler area. High temperatures in the mid-90s can be expected to continue through the weekend. A few showers and thunderstorms are possible mainly along and south of I-20 Saturday.
Winds will be southeast 10 mph or less.
