A weak cold front will slip into East Texas from the north and northeast today bringing with it scattered showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures will reach the high 90s outside of areas that are cooled down by the rain. Winds will be southwest 5 to 10 mph. The front will linger in the area through Friday keeping a slight chance of rain in the forecast before it moves northward as a warm front.
A couple of disturbances aloft in the tropical flow will move westward along the northern Gulf Coast and give us a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms from Sunday into next week. High temperatures will be in the mid 90s over the weekend.
