Dry days ahead

Both the calendar and the weather indicate summer is in full swing. High pressure, located about 10,000 feet off the ground will help to suppress shower and thunderstorm development for most of the next seven days. Thanks to recent rainfall, the soil still has a bit of moisture content. This same moisture has helped to keep temperatures from getting too out of hand over the last few days.

However, as the soil continues to dry, it will become more susceptible to Heating, and this will help to slowly increase afternoon High Temps - especially Next week. In the meantime, there does not appear to be an appreciable opportunity for significant rainfall through Friday.
