It’s going to be bright every night at Moody Gardens’ Festival of Lights.
The Galveston festival is open nightly through Jan. 4, including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
Festival of Lights includes a 1-mile-long trail of more than 1 million lights and 100 sound-enhanced and animated displays over Galveston Bay, and an outdoor ice skating rink and an Arctic Ice Slide.
Festival of Lights admission is $6.95. Tickets to other attractions, such as the 3D holiday films, Polar Express 4D, Ridefilm, Discovery Museum, Aquarium Pyramid, Colonel Paddlewheel Boat and skate rental for the outdoor ice rink are $6 each when accompanied by a festival ticket.
On Fridays, attendees can get two-for-one admission if they donate a nonperishable food item to benefit Galveston County and Houston food banks.
Holiday-themed films are playing in the MG 3D, Ridefilm Theater and 4D Special FX Theaters.
The new holiday show “A Magical Christmas 2: Dinner and Show” is at the Moody Gardens Convention Center from Thursday through Dec. 28 with a meal by Master Chef Urs Schmid. Tickets include dinner and starts at $55 for adults and $39 for children 12 and younger.
